Jonah took a long drag from his cigarette.
Actually, in truth, it wasn't his cigarette at all. He mooched it off some lonely looking fellow from the bar he now stood outside of— a bar that was, in truth, filled with a quite a few lonely looking fellows. Way too many for a Thursday night on the town. Geez, Jonah thought. It was depressing in there. Just being in the same room made Jonah feel like he wasn't gonna make it past 25.
Well. He felt like that all the time, but even moreso as he sighed, took another drag, and leaned near the entrance of the bar, waiting for something— anything —to make his night a little more interesting.

Yet again, Jaxon was lost.
It was a very troubling situation. This was the second time this week he had handed over the reins to his mind and let them control where his feet were to wander. It felt nice for a while, yes. He was walking through blissfully blind without a care in the world...until he realized he had no idea how to get back. Then the situation became troubling.
On his way of trying to find his apartment, he passed by the dreary bar where Jonah had been smoking in front of. He hadn't been in a bar before. He always avoided them. They were too dark- not in a way of color- and much too loud. Bars hurt his ears. People hurt his ears. However, he was starting to get more and more anxious. He had to stop somewhere right? He had to ask someone for advice, and lucky Jonah happened to be the one he approached.
"Hi..." He says shyly, a shaking hand combing through sandy blonde locks. "I'm lost...could you tell me where we are?"

Jonah blinked, taking the cigarette from his mouth and stamping it out against the pavement. It seemed curious that someone could accidentally wander into the night life district-- the part of town that never seemed to sleep. Especially with all the rancorous noise and people chatting in front of their cars, or the occasional cheer coming from the open outdoor bars. But it wasn't impossible, Jonah supposed. He did his own fair share of wandering himself.
Of course, there was also the chance that maaaaybe this guy was trying to start a conversation with him. And get laid. Which, Jonah wouldn't mind, being the naturally promiscuous flirt he was, but he refrained from smiling for the time being. Something was off about this character.
"We're on the intersection of Rolander and Main street. Where are you from?"

As Jonah did so, Jaxon seemed releived that he would no longer have to smell the sent of smoke. That as well as the noise was very discomforting. He looked around and gave Jonah his time to put the cigarette out, but when he took in the location he suddenly wondered the time. It wasn't easily grasped by the male how long things carried on.
A shaky sigh escaped him as his eyes darted about the scene again. The male looked very out of place, despite the fact that he was clearly old enough to be able to be in this district of the town. It was just something odd about his appearance. He wasn't put together, no. But his physical appearance was so...symmetrical. There was an odd sort of flawlessness about it- the way his facial features were angled, the faded sea glass of his eyes, how silky and soft his sandy blonde locks were. This wasn't even getting to his tall standing height and toned physique. It would have been natural if he walked around with a little confidence, or maybe even not oblivious to the world. But he did, alluding to the fact that maybe he wasn't all he appeared.
"Okay..." Was all he said at first. "Okay so that means I'm pretty far away." He points out nervously to himself before remembering Jonah was there. "I'm from a few blocks up from here...and by a few I mean around ten." He explained with a nervous laugh.

Jonah blinked again, incredulously. Ten blocks away? How the heck does a person lose themelf like that? Maybe he was high, or otherwise directionally impaired. Or maaaaaybe. This rather fine looking stranger was just about to pull some smooth ass pickup line like... I don't mind being lost... in your eyes.
Nah. That wasn't gonna happen. Still, a queer could hope, right? Certainly it would've alleviated his boredom at the very least.
But the dude seemed genuinely distressed regardless, which meant he probably didn't belong here. A strange, discomforting feeling seemed to permeate through his being, and the second-hand anxiety was giving Jonah the heebie-jeebies too. He scratched his cheek thoughtfully.
"Well, since you're here, you might as wel enjoy yourself, yeah? You look like you've never stepped foot into this side of town before. It's fun here— you wanna get a drink?"
Maybe all it took was a little alcohol to loosen up Mr. I-Don't-Know-Where-I'm-Going here. "By the way , I'm Jonah. Want me to escort you?"
He smiled. This could prove to be interesting.

Jaxon took in the way Jonah was looking at him and instantly got self conscious. He must have thought he was crazy. He may have not lived here very long, but he knew that Jonah must have thought he was crazy. Jaxon knew well how far ten blocks was. That was some distance he had wandered and yet he didn't know how he got himself to go that far. He saw how Jonah had began to scratch himself due to the nerves being contagious and instantly looked down in fear. "S-sorry." He apologized, but he really wasn't sure what for.
"I've been here before." Jaxon was a bit too quick to say. He didn't know why he felt the need to defend himself so urgently. For some reason he felt like he had to prove something to Jonah, just so he didn't act like he was so...new, he guessed. "I just don't stick around much. This place bothers me." He confessed.
"A drink? Sure.." He agreed with a small smile. The way he said the term so lightly and how it seemed so foreign on his lips made it seem like he didn't understand the term. "Jonah...okay I can remember that. I'm Jaxon." He tells him, keeping a hand at the back of his neck as if to prevent having to shake a hand that wasn't offered to him. "I mean, if it's no trouble or anything. I dunno if you're busy here doing..." Jaxon instantly found himself rambling and had to cut it short. "Sorry. Again."
